Eastside Tennis Centre offers a range of competitions and matchplay opportunities for Juniors and Adults — whether you’re looking to test your skills, improve your UTR, or simply enjoy competitive play in a friendly environment.

Looking for Singles & Doubles Matchplay? Eastside offers regular events for both Adults and Juniors, with players matched to similar UTR levels. Matches count towards your UTR ranking.

What is UTR?

UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) is a global tennis rating system that allows players to track their level and progress. The system helps players engage in competitive matches against opponents of a similar standard. UTR rankings are used for selection and seeding in State & National events.

Weekly UTR Singles Events

Eastside Tennis Centre hosts weekly UTR Singles Events for Juniors and Adults. These verified matches help players improve their ratings in a fun and competitive format.

ESTA Local Interclub Competition

Adults and Juniors can compete in the popular Eastern Suburbs Tennis Association (ESTA) competitions. Join a team, compete each week, and improve your matchplay!

Sunday Morning ESTA Competition

  • Singles & Doubles format — 2 hours every Sunday
  • Match times: 8:00–10:00 AM or 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
  • 10 rounds + semi-finals & finals
  • Home games at Eastside Tennis Centre
  • Entries close: Saturday 24th August 2025
  • Season starts: Sunday 7th September 2025
  • No games over October long weekend

Junior ESTA Competition

  • Saturday 1pm to 3pm Division 6- Green Ball
  • Saturday 3pm to 5 pm Division 5- Green Ball (Stronger match experience)
  • Sunday 12 pm to 2pm Division 4 UTR 1+
  • Sunday 2pm to 4pm Division 3 UTR 2+
  • Sunday 2pm to 4pm Division 2 UTR 3+
  • Sunday 4pm to 6:30pm Division 1 4+ and 5+
